The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) has been the leader in keeping Missouri rates affordable and keeping utility service reliable. The PSC process sets out specific guidelines and timetables which protect consumers in rate increase cases. The PSC process allows Missouri’s utility companies to request rate hikes and provides consumer protection by ensuring that consumers have eleven months to present evidence to determine whether the rate increase is justified.
